Walls of memories

Who has not that? Souvenirs, in your room, on the wall, on tables or wherever. I am actually not the fan of "blocking" my room with decoration and souvenirs, but after my study language travel through Europe for 5 months, I had to proudly present modest achievements^^

First of all I began to collect flags, from all countries where I have been to, I don't know why, but unfortunately the flag of Ireland is so small... I was looking for the big ones, but well.... mission failed -.-
Oh and can you guess the last flag?? It's not a country, I can say that^^ The first flag I got, not from my recent travel... Some time longer ago :)

I am soooo proud of this!! I have to say, I am a big F.C. Barcelona fan! I have another top which I bought the first time I visited Camp Nou. Actually I wanted to have a real shirt from Xavi, but a "bit" very much expensive -.-
As Spain won the Europe Cup I hoped that anybody wearing a Xavi-shirt would be drunk enough to give it to me^^ But well... thousands of Iniestas and Torres, but just three Xavis!! And all of them had girlfriends or weren't drunk enough. I was a bit dissapointed -.-
So we spend a bit time at the beacht and finally three guys came wanted to talk to us, I actually was pretty tired, but one of them got a Barca shirt!!! So we stayed for an hour or something and then he gave the shirt to me because I was so freezing. So I had at least a shirt of Fabregas^^
The Xavi shirt bought my parents as they were visiting me in Barcelona :)
The Italian shirt I found in Sitges, a smaller city near to Barcelona... someone just left it. Luck for me!

Do you have such interesting or funny memories of some souvenirs???

Creating a photobook, part 2

I already wrote here a bit about with which programm I designed my photobook and now it's here, in my hands! Well ok not really, otherwise I couldn't write that post^^

Here you can see the "final printed version". I have to say that I am very confident with the quality, the colours are brilliant and it actually looks exactely like I hoped it to be^^
Just the "D" at the cover might be a bit to far left... but, it's not really disturbing.

Yeah it's German^^ Anybody wants a little lesson? "Danke" means "Thanks" :)

I just found one little mistake in the book, just by one picture I forgot the shadow... But I think that only I will recognize that...

What do you think?? It's not that cheap, but for a special occasion or a special person - any time!
I am actually not the big fan of photo books when you can buy them at a store, but when they are your own taken pictures, it's just great and you kind of proud of it!! :)

So I'll see how my grandma reacts tomorrow when I present it to her!

Creating a photobook, part 1

After my language study travel this year, which was nearly completely financed by my grandma, I felt like she deserves a special gift. So I had the idea of creating a photobook, but not just a simple one, like printing out pictures and stick it onto paper...nooooo! I mean a REAL book you can create on the internet and which is completely printed and send to you. So I looked on the internet which service would be the best and I decided for www.saal-digital.de.
Here you can see some impressions on the way of designing my book for my grandmother.

First you have to download a software, I am actually not a big fan of downloading thousands of softwares for everything, but ok...
So first you have to decide which product you want to create - I know this is German, but a German website for a German book for my German grandmother^^

The screen is very clear and it was pretty easy to get started. You can arrange the picture in any way you like, only the magnetic adjustment of the photos was a bit nerving sometimes.

I am so excited how it's going to look in real, I think this already looks great, but sometimes in real it's a bit different... Of course I give you a review about that too.

What do you think of such photobooks??
Have you ever created such a book?

Getting Started
